Our mission is to provide a wide range of accessible information and resources that educate and empower not only those diagnosed but also caregivers, family members, health professionals, patient navigators, and community health workers.

Next Steps class
No one is ever prepared to receive a breast cancer diagnosis. We know the fear of the unknown can be overwhelming and frightening. Breast Cancer Resource Center has combined information and tools to better understand a diagnosis and empower patients to ask questions and get the answers they need. Learn breast cancer basics, types of treatment, practical resources, and items to consider before starting treatment.
*Open to all who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer within the last month of a class being offered.

CANCER Survivorship Series
This 5-part series provides an overview of cancer survivorship, including phases of cancer survivorship, current trends and models of survivorship care, and evidence-based practices to reduce long-term sequelae of cancer treatment and the enhance survivorship care delivered.

The mission of the Cancer Alliance of Texas is to engage organizations, agencies, institutions, and individuals to work collaboratively to reduce the impact of cancer in Texas and promote the Texas Cancer Plan. Members of the Survivorship Priority Area Workgroup work together to Increase standardized training for and the engagement of community health workers (CHWs) in the care of cancer survivors and the education of patients and communities about survivorship issues, tools, and resources.
The Priority Area Workgroup has created additional community health worker trainings, CHWs are able to access trainings here.
