In this course, you will learn how to identify research backed information from articles that are sensationalized or hyped up.

Susan Friedman, DVM was a practicing small-animal veterinarian when she diagnosed with breast cancer at age 33, and afterwards learned she carried an inherited BRCA2 mutation. After treatment, she founded the nonprofit organization “Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered” or FORCE to help people and families facing hereditary cancer. As Executive Director of FORCE, Sue directs their education, research, and advocacy programs. As an advocate, Sue has a passion for improving health communication between patients and their healthcare teams and improving health literacy in society as a whole.
