A committed advocate for improving health outcomes for Texas communities historically underserved by public health programs, Prosper Health Coverage Senior Program Coordinator Lynn Cowles has worked for Foundation Communities since 2015. Helping community members enroll in good, affordable health coverage plans and programs, Prosper Health Coverage is Central Texas’ largest federally-certified Affordable Care Act Navigator organization. For the program, Lynn coordinates strategic partnerships; program communications and resource development; staff, volunteer, and partner trainings; community health education; and grant writing and reporting. She has worked in education, communication, program management, and community organizing for fifteen years in Texas and brings expertise in partnership-building, coalition management, and community-based collaboration with her to Foundation Communities. She has a PhD in Humanities Research from the University of Texas at Austin, where she taught for five years. Lynn is a proud volunteer of racial justice advocacy group, the Austin Justice Coalition; the Autism Society of Texas; and campaign finance reform advocacy group, American Promise; she Vice-Chairs the Community Council at KOOP Radio; she is on the board of labor development organization Good Work Austin; and she chairs Austin Public Health’s Access to Care Workgroup and the Bastrop County Early Childhood Coalition’s Health Committee.

As a Program Coordinator for the Prosper Health Coverage Program at Foundation Communities, Aileen Lopez works to improve health outcomes throughout Central Texas. She started at Foundation Communities as an Enrollment Specialist and since then has started coordinating enrollments for clients with high medical needs and local funding programs with Central Health. She holds a B.S. in Community Health and completed a Texas Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (TEHDI) internship with the Texas Department of State Health Services.
