Dr. Khan-Farooqi graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with high honors in 2010. She completed internships at the internationally recognized Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Hospital in Downey, CA, and at the Occupational Performance Center associated at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis (TRISL).

Dr. Khan-Farooqi has served on the board of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) as the Practice Division Director, which oversees three working committees (Advocacy, Practice Management, and Federal and State Regulations). She volunteered with ASHT from 2013-2019 and has served in leadership positions including Vice Practice Division Director and Advocacy Committee Chair.

She joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences as a full-time faculty member in fall 2015 and was promoted to her current position in 2024.

Tiffany Bystra is an occupational therapist and current Ph.D. student in Bioethics and Health Humanities at UTMB. Bystra has served cancer patients in her role as an OT and is passionate about advocating for and optimizing care for those affected by cancer. She also serves as a resource specialist for the Cancer Support Community
